Walk to the End of the Solar System

This walk is about 1 km long and is one of the most descriptive and enjoyable exhibits at the GDC. Start at the “Sun”, which is a large paved circle to represent the huge size of the Sun and then follow the path along all the other planets and their moons in our Solar System. The Solar System Walk and the size and distances of the planets are to scale to give you an understanding of the vastness of our Universe.

During your walk along our Solar System you might be lucky enough to spot one of our resident kangaroos. They are used to people, but not tame enough to touch.

He was demoted to the status of “dwarf planet”, and is no longer considered a “real” planet. You will find Pluto at his final resting place in a satin lined coffin on the main exhibition area of the GDC.
