Founder’s Dinner on 4th December 2009

The Gravity Discovery Centre hosted an evening of celebration in the Cosmology Gallery to honour our long standing contributors and supporters. Speeches of appreciation were given by Professors John De Laeter and David Blair and WA Chief Scientist and GDC supporter Professor Lyn Beazley. The Tower Award was received by Rob Jewkes for his past work on the GDC fundraising committee, by Dr Peter Terren for some amazing exhibits he built for the GDC resulting from his abiding love of experiments with high voltage and electrical engineering, as well as by Geoffrey Cody for his creation of our amazing TIMELINE, telling the story of our Universe from the Big Bang until present times.

The evening was catered by Stargazer’s Cafe with a delicious buffet dinner in the Cosmology Gallery.
