Emeritus Professor John DeLaeter, AO led the foundation of Technology Park, Bentley, and of Scitech Discovery Centre. More recently he led the formation of the Gravity Discovery Centre Foundation, and the campaign which enabled us to build the Gravity Discovery Centre at Gingin. For fifteen years he has put exceptional energy, wisdom and devotion into the creation of our Centre, a place unique in the world that combines art with science, cosmology and astronomy with traditional creation stories, and a place where real research in astronomy and gravitational waves mixes with science education, learning and enrichment.

Behind John, his wife Robin has been a tower of strength and devotion for 47 years.
