Curtin Volunteer Program here at the GDC
We recently had the pleasure of welcoming 18 student ambassadors from the Curtin Volunteer Program here at the GDC. The student ambassador team at Curtin University is made up of current students from across all areas of the university and from all walks of life. The team organises and runs on and off campus activities for prospective students and are involved in volunteering in the wider community. There are plenty of leadership opportunities for enthusiastic individuals with Curtin Student Ambassadors. The Curtin Volunteer Weekend is one of those activities and the GDC was lucky enough to be selected.
The ambassadors arrived Friday afternoon and after an evening of Stargazing and movies, spent a very productive Saturday at the end of various tools! They painted and spread gravel, pruned bushes and trees, they built a fence and turned our somewhat sad and tired Biodiversity Gallery into an exciting green animal and plant display.
We cannot thank these young students enough for all the enthusiasm and ideas as well as elbow grease they contributed this weekend.
